Automatic Outdoor High Voltage SF6 Gas Insulated Vacuum Load-break Switch


  ►General Description

  FCX-12/T630-20 model automatic outdoor high-voltage SF6 gas insulated vacuum load-break switch is designed by our company to meet growing requirements for reliability. It is suitable for rated voltage 12kV and AC 50Hz power distribution automation systems. It incorporates vacuum interrupting, which offers a number of advantages in service, reliability and maintenance; and SF6 gas is filled as the insulating medium (all internal energized parts are insulated in SF6 gas). The equipment is designed for 30 years of maintenance-free, and more than 10 years operating experience has been gained in State Grid Corporation of China.


  ►Operating environmental condition

  1) Ambient Temperature: -40oC~+60oC. Range of daily temperature not more than 25K;

  2) Altitude: 3000m;

  3) Wind Pressure : not more than 700Pa;

  4) Outer insulator pollution grade: level IV .

  The switch enclosure is made of stainless steel plate and filled with SF6 gas. Additional sealing is provided by the O-ring sealing technology in the junction between outside terminals and the switch enclosure. Overall, the switch enclosure structure is guaranteed for safety operation.


  The vacuum interruption offers a number of advantages in service, reliability and maintenance. Contacts are hermetically sealed, eliminating any source of contamination. Compared to an air or oil interrupter, it offers many times the number of switching operations in a lifetime; therefore it is suitable for frequent operation.

  Outside terminals are covered by epoxy resin bushing, which offers high mechanical strength and strong insulating ability. The silicon rubber is applied on the outside of epoxy resin bushing that can offer strong a number of advantages in water resistance, impact resistance and contamination resistance; and it can offer a 513mm creepage distance.

  3 current transformers and 6 voltage sensors are settled inside of the SF6 gas filled cabinet. They are highly compacted; and can offer high reliability.

  The main shaft mechanism and operating mechanism are sealed by SF6 gas. It will prevent corrosion phenomena and refusing action during operation mechanism.

  The switch is equipped with a regenerative hygroscopic agent, which absorb the moisture in SF6 gas.

  The switch enclosure is equipped with the relay which can detect the pressure of SF6 gas. When the pressure of SF6 gas is below the setting value, the switch will not be electrically operated through locking the electric circuits.


  ►Technical features

  The switch enclosure is made of more than 3mm stainless steel plate. The main circuit and the operating mechanism are completely sealed with SF6 gas. They are not affected by the external environment and guarantee lasting for 30 years without corrosion and refusing action.

  Excellent insulation performance. The composite insulation method (SF6+vacuum) is used for the internal of the switch. The main circuits on the external of the switch are insulated by large creepage path silicon rubber bushing, which can offer a 513mm creepage distance.

  Low pressure 0.13 MPa SF6 gas is filled for insulating the internal of the switch. In addition, pressure switch and pressure gauge are settled inside of the switch.

  The energy storage system is provided by using electric spring operating mechanism. It offers a number of advantages in simple structure, reliability; and the mechanical operation life is more than 10,000 times.

  The integration design is applied between voltage sensor, current transformer and switch ontology. The switch ontology is built-in with 6 voltage sensors and 3 current transformers, which accuracy can achieve 0.2.

  The switch is equipped with double open-close indicating device (on the side and bottom), which is marked clearly.

  The switch can be manually mechanical controlled or electrical controlled on the field; or it can also be remote controlled by FTU.

  The switch is designed to meet the requirement of Power Distribution Automation system; and compliance with the standards of GB3804, GB11022 and IEC6069.

  The 128X64 LCD screen is equipped as the switch controller interface, which is intuitive, simple and convenient to operate; and the high performance industrial devices and DSP processors are applied on the switch controller, which can provide fast processing speed and high reliability. The data acquisition system uses 12 bit A/D converter and 32 points acquisition, which can offer 0.2 level precision and 15 times harmonic calculation. The data acquisition accuracy and speed are ensured by using the high-speed conversion chip. The data acquisition device adopts precision voltage and current transformers, which offer a number of advantages in size, weight and functions. The functions are integrated with protection, control, survey and communication by utilized four layers and double layers Printed Wiring Board and SMT surface mount techniques; and several electromagnetic compatibility designs, which improved the anti-jamming capability. The controller is light-weighted, easy to install, simplified design appearance and compacted internal structure. It assisted to achieve the control, protection, measurement, communication, fault recording, event logging and other functions for the line in power distribution automation system.
